An LLC controlled by Synergy Investments and DivcoWest spent $48 million Friday on a parcel that gives Synergy control of a full block in a rapidly improving part of Downtown Crossing.

DWF IV LLC bought 55-63 Summer St. and 65-69 Summer St. from Brickman 55 Summer LLC of New York City.

The property Synergy just acquired begins with a highly visible CVS store that faces into the center of the intersection of Summer and Arch streets. The parcel also includes a Wendy’s restaurant at street level and offices above. An LLC controlled by Synergy already owned the rest of the block to its end point where there’s a Bank of America ATM at the corner of Kingston and Summer streets.

A Synergy executive could not immediately be reached for comment. The company’s holdings in Boston, according to the Synergy website, include:

Synergy also has other holdings in Boston and in Quincy.

"
